Are you aged between 12 and 17* and looking for an exciting new challenge?
*Cadets must also be in Year 8 or above. Our Cadets can stay with us until they’re 20, but must be within these age brackets when they join.
Would you like to experience what it’s like to fly a plane, take part in expeditions, practice target shooting or boost your cyber skills? Joining the Air Cadets will give you all these opportunities and more.
It’s a chance to build your confidence, make lifelong friends, and gain skills that will help you go wherever you want in your education or career, whether that’s with the Services or something else entirely.
There are 40,000 RAF Air Cadets all across the UK. We’re always welcoming more people from all backgrounds and interests.
So, what are you waiting for? Join us. Adventure awaits!
It’s easy to sign up, and we’re on hand to support you all the way.
Let’s go…
1. Find your local squadron
Where do you want to go? Did you know we have 27 squadrons across our wing!
Use the Squadron Finder below to find the one that’s nearest to you – your local area team would love to hear from you.
2. Talk to us
There’s a short form for you to complete next, so we can get to know you.
Give us a nudge if you’ve not heard back after two weeks (our amazing team is mostly volunteer-led, so we have lots to juggle!): influence@rafac.mod.gov.uk
3. Come visit
Once we’ve got your form, your chosen squadron will be in touch to organise a visit.
Every squadron has a different approach to recruitment. Some allow you to join straight away, others have waiting lists and new intakes at set dates throughout the year. The squadron you have selected on the form will contact you to explain the next steps and arrange your first visit.
